Royal ''Buster'' C. Clark
October 26, 1921 - December 11, 2003

Royal C. Buster Clark FRUITLAND, Iowa - Royal C. ''Buster'' Clark, 82, of Fruitland, died Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2003, at Unity Hospital. Services are Monday, Dec. 15, 2003, at 10:30 a.m. at the New Hope United Methodist Church. The Rev. Tom Parrott will officiate. Burial will be at a later date. Following the services, a time of food and fellowship will be held at the New Hope United Methodist Church. Visitation 4-7 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 14, 2003, at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the New Hope United Methodist Church. Royal Colony Clark was born Oct. 26, 1921, in Magnolia Township, Wis., the son of Royal L. and Mary Marguerite Colony Clark. He married Marjorie M. Staley on Feb. 14, 1947, in Brooklyn, Wis. He was a U.S. Navy veteran serving in the Pacific during World War II from Dec. 8, 1941, through Dec. 12, 1945. He has been a resident of the Muscatine area since 1963 and worked at Kent Foods for 26 years before retiring. He was a member of the New Hope United Methodist Church. He enjoyed walking and was an avid Chicago Cubs and Bears fan. Survivors include his wife, Marjorie; two sons, Andrew Clark and his fiancé, Shirley Miller, of Crawfordsville, and Bruce Clark and his wife, Teri, of Apple Valley, Minn.; three daughters, Nadine Brockert and her husband, Charlie, of Muscatine, Nancy J. Clark of Muscatine and Kenlyn Clark and her husband, Dr. Paul Gies, of Dryden, Maine; one sister, Sylvia Schneeberger and her husband, Edward, of Albany, Wis.; seven grandchildren, Matthew Brockert and his wife, Tammy, of Muscatine, Dan Brockert of Muscatine, Matthew T. Clark of DeKalb, Ill., Stephanie Clark and her fiancé, Robert Ryckman, of Indialantic, Fla., Karen Clark of Tallahassee, Fla., Valerie Clark of St. Paul, Minn., and Thomas Clark of Dryden, Maine; two step-grandchildren, Malia Law of Rochester, Minn. and Brandon Law and his wife, Jackie, of Rosemount, Minn.; four great-grandchildren, Trevor Brockert, Kevin Brockert, and Taylor-Ann Marie Brockert all of Muscatine, and Graham Ryckman, of Indialantic, Fla.; and one step-great-granddaughter, Katie Law of Rosemount, Minn. He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Marcia Clark, three brothers and one granddaughter, Kelly Clark.
