Aletha Duder RIVERSIDE, Iowa #45;- Aletha Duder, 68, Riverside, died Saturday, Jan. 17, 2004, at Mercy Hospital, Iowa City, after an extended illness. Services are 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 21, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Riverside. The Rev. Rich Adam will officiate. Casket Bearers are Lance Rummelhart, Heath Rummelhart, David Gerard Sr., David Gerard, Jr., Gary Mullinnix and Chad Mullinnix. Burial will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Riverside. After the burial, a time of food and fellowship will be held at the St. Mary's Church Hall. Visitation is 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 20, with a 7 p.m. prayer service at the Sorden-Lewis Funeral Home, Riverside. A memorial fund has been established for the Riverside First Responders. Mrs. Duder was born April 19, 1935, in Riverside, the daughter of Ed and Ethel Young Wingler. She married Donald Duder July 22, 1955, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Riverside. She worked for the University of Iowa, Iowa City, working with children, and was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Riverside Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary. She enjoyed watching the Cubs, shuffleboard, bowling and taking one-day trips, but most of all, she dearly loved to spend time with her family. She enjoyed her cat, Heidi, and bird, Sunny. Survivors include her husband; a son, Gary Duder and wife Barbara of Washington; two daughters, Terri Mullinnix and husband Gary of Lone Tree and LeAnn Gerard and husband David of Coralville; seven grandchildren, Dawn, Chad, David, Jamie, Ethan, Jacob and Emily; a great-grandson, Garrett; a brother, Clayton Wingler and wife Joyce of Riverside; and three sisters, Lura Sutton of Ohio, Vaida Streb of Riverside and Jean Kopf of Iowa City. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Daryl Wingler; and a sister, Nita Rath.
