GUY 'SAM' FULLER MUSCATINE, Iowa - Guy Edward 'Sam' Fuller, 78, of Muscatine, died Saturday, July 10, 2004, at Riverbend Nursing and Rehab Center. Funeral Service will be11 a.m. Thursday, July 15, 2004, at Bloomington-Muscatine Friends Church. Reverend Arturo Carranza will officiate. Honorary bearers will be Justin and Steven Fuller. Casket bearers will be Brent King, Kristopher King, Jimmy McKiddy, Paul Hoag, Matt Reimers, and George Reimers. Burial will be in the Bloomington-Muscatine Friends Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 14, 2004, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Memorials may be left in care of Vada Baker. Mr. Fuller was born on May 27, 1926, in Drury Township, Rock Island County, Illinois, the son of Guy S. and Velma E. Spitznogle Fuller. He married Donna Gentzler in 1947, in Muscatine. He later married Nona Arlyne Carlisle in 1966. He later married Francys Fuhs in 1982. He was a graduate of Muscatine High School and was a member of the VFW Post 1565 and the Eagles Lodge. He served in the US Navy as a Seaman First Class from June 4, 1944 until August 2, 1946. He served on the USS General John Pope. He was employed at the Celon Plant in Muscatine for many years. While living in California, he was employed at Douglas Aerospace in Long Beach, California, for many years. Upon his return to Muscatine he was a heavy equipment operator, helping to construct the Dougherty Bridge over the Cedar River near Muscatine, the I-80 Bridge over the Mississippi and the Cordova Nuclear Power Station in Cordova, Illinois. He was a professional brick layer and contractor. His greatest love was his children and family members. His greatest joy in life was swinging his favorite hammer while creating structures of his own design. Survivors include his daughter, D. Lynn Killoran and husband, Tom, of Palm Desert, California; his sons, Guy E. Fuller Jr. and wife, Kathy, of Orange County, California, and Dan Sheridan Fuller and wife, Jody, of Blue Grass; grandsons, Christopher Killoran and wife, Joleen, of Tustin, California, K.C. Killoran and wife, Vanessa, of California, Daniel, Cody, Kyle and Darrin Fuller of Orange County, California, Justin David and Steven Daniel Fuller of Blue Grass; granddaughters, Tamara Spampinato and husband, Lou, of Laguna, California, Lisa Fuller of Tyler, Texas, Ashley Fuller of Orange County, California, Sara Lynn Fuller of Blue Grass; great-grandchildren, Branden and Dominique Spampinato, Cole and Bryce Killoran, Timothy, Tyler and Tanner Fuller; three brothers, Ronald G. Fuller of Muscatine, Harold W. Fuller of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Sammy R. Fuller and wife, Rosalie, of Conway, Pennsylvania; four sisters, Carol V. McKiddy and husband, James, of Muscatine, Freda A. Hoag and husband, Charles, of Columbus Junction, Alice Joan Wedekind and husband, Edwin, of Muscatine, and F. NeVada Baker and husband, John, of West Liberty; several nieces and nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two sons, Rodney Frederick and Roger Allan Fuller.

"Mike,Lynn,Dan, Sisters Brothers other family Ed was our bro-in-law always ,even tho he and Donna were no longer together our family remained close our mom Peggy Reichert loved Ed as we all did. We are sorry we can not attend in person I would love to see Veda Ron and others again its been years. We will howevever be with you all in spirit. Our wish is you will find peace in knowing he is with GOD and I waiting for us to join him.For those who did so much near the end to help him and make the decisions for him to be where trained people could help him special blessings to you for the love it took to do all you did. We believe heaven has no pain no bad memories just beauty and peace. and on a personal note Ed is eating all the smoked salmon and desserts he wants. He always thanked us over and over for the salmon we would send him from Alaska. He said he wanted to catch a big one someday and I'm sure he will be able to do just that now. GOD BE WITH ALL OF US AT THIS TIME. WE DID LOVE HIM AS A BRO IN LAW AND OUR KIDS LOVED HIM AS A UNCLE. STAY STRONG AND LOVE ONE ANOTHER. OUR PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU ALL BOB AND KAY WERTMAN 4429 S.
