Mark Rethamel NEW HAMPTON, Iowa #45;- Mark William Rethamel, 37, New Hampton, died Saturday, July 24, 2004, at his home of natural causes. Services were today at Holy Family Parish - St. Mary's Center, New Hampton. Burial was at St. Mary's Cemetery, New Hampton. Visitations were Monday, July 26, with rosary and scripture services and a video memorial tribute, at Hugeback amp; Chenoweth Funeral Home, New Hampton, and prior to services today at the funeral home. Mr. Rethamel was born on Oct. 3, 1966, in New Hampton, the son of Merle William and Alice Mae Reicks Rethamel. He attended school in New Hampton and graduated from New Hampton High School in 1985. He had worked at the Woodring Fur Farm for 22 years. He had a life-long illness and was diagnosed in the 1980's as having Wagner's Disease. His courage, faith and strength saw him through. He will always be loved, admired and remembered for this. Survivors include his parents; three sisters, Shari Rasing and husband, Ken, and Sheila Shekleton and husband, Greg, all of New Hampton, and Sandi Honts and husband, Ken, of Muscatine; a brother, Bill Rethamel and wife, Denise, of Muscatine; three nieces, Kendra Honts, Chelsea and Taylyr Rethamel; seven nephews, Garrett and Shane Shekleton, Jacob, Travis and Blake Rasing, Lee Rethamel and Jaren Winkey. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Joe and Susan Reicks; and paternal grandparents, Ray and Helen Rethamel.
