Martin Wiedemann III MUSCATINE, Iowa #45;- Martin F. Wiedemann III, 80, Muscatine, died Sunday, Aug. 29, 2004, at the home of his son Robert in Kalispell, Montona. Services are 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 19, at Seventh Day Adventist Church, 2904 Mulberry Ave. The Rev. Jeff Kellogg will officiate assisted by Robert Wiedemann. After the services, a time of food and fellowship will be held in the church fellowship hall. According to his wishes, his body will be cremated after the services. Burial will be at a later date. Visitation is one hour prior to services Sunday at the church. The Jeffrey S. Nichols Chapel Hill Funeral Home and Crematory, Muscatine, is assisting with the arrangements. Mr. Wiedemann was born Nov. 21, 1923, in the Philippines, the son of Morten and Amanda Decing Wiedemann. He was an U.S. Army veteran of World War II, having served as a medic. He founded, owned and operated Muscatine-based Wiedemann Industries. The company manufactures fiberglass baptismal tanks and ships product throughout the world. His nephew, Tom Gott, has continued the Wiedemann business under the name Wiedemann Church products. Survivors include two sons, Victor Wiedemann of Portland, Ore., and Robert L. Wiedemann, D.C. of Kalispell, Mont.; a daughter, Kim Ortner of Windsor, Calif.; seven grandsons, Jeremy Masters Wiedemann, Victor Lee Wiedeman, Shane La Monte Wiedemann, Jeffry Dana Wiedemann, Erick Ortner, Seth Robert Wiedemann and Casey James Wiedemann; a sister, Rosella Gott Wiedemann; a brother-in-law, George Gott; nephews, Tom Gott, Cecil Woods, Ben Wiedemann, Bill Wiedemann, Kris Habeck, Karl Habeck, Kirk Habeck, Kent Habeck, and Kitt Habeck; and nieces, Pat Gott Arrabito and Jackie Gott Stallinga. He was preceeded in death by his parents; a brother, Robert; a sister, Ruth Wiedemann Habeck; and a son, Paul Martin Wiedemann.
