MUSCATINE, Iowa - Dorothy M. Tisor, 86, of Muscatine, died Thursday, October 28, 2004 at Lutheran Homes. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 1, 2004 at . at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Funeral Home. Pastor Richard Sebeniecher of the New Hope United Methodist Church will officiate. Casketbearers will be Tony Steckman, Donald Ralls, David Steckman, David Wada II, Court Burkamper, Joshua Ralls, Darrin Burkamper, Eddie Solarsono and Christopher Thomas. Honorary casket bearer will be Carl Irwin. Burial will be in Harker Cemetery. Following the interment, a time of food and fellowship will be held at the New Hope United Methodist Church. Visitation for Dorothy will be held on from 3-7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 31, 2004 at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Funeral Home. Memorials may be directed to the New Hope United Methodist Church or Lutheran Homes in Dorothy's name. Dorothy M. Irwin Tisor, was born on November 30, 1917 in Muscatine, Iowa the daughter of Charles H and Priscilla Grace Andries Irwin. On January 17, 1942, Dorothy was united in marriage to Elmer L. Tisor in Kahoka, Missouri. Dorothy was employed in Muscatine by a button company and later H.J. Heinz. Dorothy was a member of the New Hope United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and was on the Women's Christian Temperance Union Board. She enjoyed teaching Sunday School, sewing, baking, crocheting, music and dancing. Dorothy will be deeply missed by four daughters Carol Burkamper and Sherry Thomas both of Boise, Idaho, Grace Steckman and her husband, Jim and Jo Ann Ralls and her husband, Donald both of Muscatine; one brother, Carl Irwin and his wife Vivian of Muscatine; twelve grandchildren, Darla Burkamper-Solarsono, Shea Burkamper-Webster, Darrin and Court Burkamper, Kimberly Thomas-Conrad, Chris Thomas, David and Tony Steckman, David Wada II, Dawn Marie Ralls-Essex and Jennifer and Joshua Ralls; seventeen great-grandchildren and one great great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three brothers and one sister.
