"To Wendy and the Koll family: Very sorry to hear about Craig. My sincerest sympathies to you all. My best memories of Craig are from when we played basketball together at MHS. I went up against him in practice every night, and he blocked more of my shot attempts than I could ever hope to count. He made me work hard, and I was a better player because of it. I've been feeling very sad since I heard the new. I'm sure he will be missed. -Bryan Lawrence"

"Wendy, Dick, Pat, Chris and family - I am very sorry to have learned about Craig's passing. I looked up to him both figuratively and literally when I was growing up across the alley in Muscatine in the 70's. He was an inspiration to me on the tennis court. I used to watch him practice at Weed Park and particularly remember his huge serve, as well as his very cool Triumph sports car. He always had time for me and I will remember him with a smile on my face. I am exceedingly sorry for your loss."

"Wendy and the Koll Family...Please accept my condolences at Craig's passing.Craig was always a kind and generous friend to me, both at MHS and particularly in Iowa City.If I had a dollar for every friend Craig made in Iowa City( or for every person who passed through the house on Iowa Avenue), I would be a millionaire times over.He was one of the most open and generous people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him, but at the same time remembered for his generosity and good humor...God bless...Dan"
