Henry C. 'Hank' Tack GILBERT, Ariz. - Henry C. Hank left this life to be with Jesus on Feb. 26, 2008. A memorial service was held at East Valley Bible Church, Gilbert, Ariz., on Tuesday, March 4. His life was lived based on his belief in his favorite Bible verse, Ephesians 2: 8-9, For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast. Mr. Tack was born in Detroit, Mich. the son of Henry and Elsie Tack. He enjoyed the fun of being grandpa to Brian, Brandon, Brice and Bery, sons of Tye and Mary Ann, and Claire and Amy, daughters of Tanya and John. He graduated from Davenport High School, attended Iowa State University and St. Ambrose College, prior to graduating from the Illinois College of Podiatry in 1954 with a DPM degree, with honors. He practiced Podiatry in Muscatine, Iowa, for 40 years before retiring to Gold Canyon in 1994. He served as president of both the Iowa Podiatry Society and the Midwest Podiatry Conference, and was a fifty year member of the American Podiatry Association. While living in Muscatine, he was active in Christian Business Men's Committee, Elks BPOE, and Promise Keepers through Calvary Baptist Church. He enjoyed all sports, golf and, especially playing cards with family and friends. He was an avid Iowa Hawkeye fan his entire adult life. He is survived by his wife, Sandra Senjen Tack, Gold Canyon, Ariz.; daughter, Tami Tack and husband, Tony Gardonio, Gold Canyon, Ariz.; a son, Tye Tack, and wif,e Mary Ann, Cheyenne, Wyo.; and daughter, Tanya Tack Glattly and husband, John, Chanhassen of Minnesota. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, and one grandson, Brad Tack.
