In loving memory of

Myrtice Thompson Daniel
March 16, 1925 - September 29, 2010

Myrtice Thompson Daniel was born March 16, 1925 in Troup County, Georgia to the late Annie Kate Hawkins and the late Ed Thompson. Myrtice transitioned this world on Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at Southland Rehabilitation in Peachtree City, GA.

She attended school in Troup County, Georgia. She worked domestic jobs for many years and then worked for Royal Molding and American Optical in Newnan, GA until her health started to fail. Myrtice joined Greater Jehovah Baptist Church at an early age where she was a member of the sanctuary choir. Myrtice also sang solos for many special occasions. She was coined "The Young Mahalia Jackson" by Mrs. Ruby Hines because her voice could move you. Myrtice is known for her rendition of the old gospel tune "I Don't Have to Worry Where I'll Spend Eternity".

Myrtice married the late Arthur Daniel, Jr. To this union seven children were born. Myrtice was the mother of nine who affectionately call her "Mama Dear": Ola Mae and Donald Daniel (Grantville, GA); Gabrielle Hines - the crown jewel of the family(Atlanta, GA); William Daniel, Sr. (Snellville, GA); Eugene Daniel (Grantville, GA); Betty Reeves (Greenville, GA); Johnny and Kenneth Daniel; both transitioned this world before their mother; and adopted daughter Josephine Paschal (Henderson, NC).

Myrtice had two siblings transition this world before her: Her loving older sister, Clever Pearl Russell (New York City, NY) and her brother Eddie James Anderson (Cleveland, OH). She has two loving sisters whom she loved dearly: Grace Mitchell Clack (New York City, NY) and Alice M. Nalls (Grantville, GA); two sisters-in-law: Kathleen Harris and Marilyn Loundy; two brothers-in-law: Harold Daniel and James Means; one son-in-law, Freddie Reeves; three daughters-in-law, Diana Daniel, Gwennie Daniel Brown and Patricia Daniel Woods.

Mama Dear has twelve wonderful grandchildren who cherish her. She was blessed to enjoy twelve great-grandchildren who adore her.

Mama Dear was known for her delicious cooking especially her homemade cakes and pies. She was a wonderful mother to her children and many others. Thank you, God for 85 years of life. Though her family was not ready for her to go, God came and took her away to a place where there are no needles, no pills, no doctors, and no pain. She is at peace now.

You have been here for us all these years. Now we are here for you. We do not want to see you go, but God had other plans for you and we were not included. So go home, Mama Dear, and see your sons and relatives. Tell them it has been a good road you have traveled. You had a wonderful life. We love you but God loves you best.

Love,

Your Children, Grand Children, and Great-Grand Children

"Gary's favorite memory of Clifford: He tells everyone his brother taught him to swim by taking him by the seat of his pants and throwing him in. Love and prayers to Sharon, Mike, Janet and Julie, Jerry and all of the grandkids. Also, to Clifford's siblings, many cousins and relatives who are saddened by the loss of Cliff. Sharon, I am so happy you have your girls and granddaugher's close by. You have always taken care of everyone. It is time that someone take care of you."

I believe he is in no more pain and has a few family members to show him the way. So, all of you will be in my prayers and will remain in my heart always. Sharon please take care. Love, Debbie"
