"I knew Stephanie many years ago in L.A. I met her at a club and she told me she was from France--she had the cute French accent and all and a little blonde bob. After a week or two she told me the truth. Iowa. I was impressed. Could've been a good actress. She was a fascinating woman--wild and creative yet sometimes very shy. I had a lot of good times with her and I've been wondering what ever became of her and I came across this. I'm very sad. She was an important part of my young life and I will always be grateful for knowing her. She inspired me in lots of ways and we had many laughs together. My sympathies to the family. May she rest in peace. Pete"

"I knew Stephanie while she was in CA. We have a blast together before she moved down to Corpus. I was sober when we met and wanted her to stay and go to meetings with me. She said she was going to get clean in TX. I'm so sorry to hear of her passing. I wanted to see how she was getting along and found this... I'm very, very sad right now. My condolences to the family. I'm very sorry for your loss."

"Stephanie was one of the most talented people I had ever met. Her paintings and writings were parallel to none in her class. I was deeply in love with her. She was my catalyst to the sober life that I enjoy today. On the night we met she predicted that I would have a "spiritual Awakening" as a result of our relationship. I am now sober 15 years, as of August 1st 2011. My craziest most colorful years were spent with her . My nickname for her was Deathome. She loved that. I am so happy that she had children. She was very determined to be a mommy. This is so sad. My heart goes out to her family... "

"Stephaniue was a best friend of mine imstantly when I met her at a party with Joey Ramone. We were young and crazy bacck then. when I opened both of their beers with my teeth we became instant best friends for years when I first moved to LA. We bpth dated guys in the same band. shared a love for art, writing, themystical and all the music we loved dancing to at Scream in LA before we both moved to San Diego with my parrot Miko and her cat Mambo (who were incredibly inseperable). I've been trying to reconnect with her for years, looking for her online and on Faceboook but didn't have any luck until her ex posted her obituary on Facebook a few hours ago. I am so saddened my this, and would have loved to hear about her new life outside of LA which was nearly destroying her. I am so happy she found love and had children and never gave up her art. Ironically, I"ve been listening to music all day that we used to listed to all the time. My condolences to her family and especially her father who I've talked to a number of times back then. She was my Scorpio sister and I'll always have a million memories of her. "

"I was just posting some photos on a site of all my old friends back in the day ( 1990) just 2 days ago.
Stephanie was one of those friends.
She must have been 22. Such a smile and so creative and fun. She was a star shining bright. We went to dinner in Mexico once over looking the cliffs. First class limo for a friends birthday. She wrote a poem about me i kept for many years, one i often think about. I was saddened to have another friend who looked her name up and find her here. May her children and family, love ones be blessed and feel her spirit as a lovely angel watching over them.
Bless you Stephanie. xoxoxoxoxox"

I want to say that she was a beautiful and vibrant spirit, possessed of a drive and intelligence unlike I have ever seen. I have not seen her in so long a time, yet I now find myself missing her. My deepest and most warm regards to her family and friends."

"I was deeply saddened to hear the news about Stephanie the other day. I only knew her through telephone conversations, but I felt very connected to her. I am praying for you, Terri, (and your family)that you be comforted by God's love and the memories you have with your sister to carry you through this. I am also praying for Isabella and Zane. Their mother is safe in the arms of Jesus now and they will always have their guardian angel to watch over them now. She really was had a beautiful spirit. "Its been a long time but I have some great memories of growing up with Stephanie and dancing around to records at Uncle Wib's house. She had the crazy hair back then and now I have it. Judy with her cute little bunny's and Bill always on the go. I hope you are at peace now. To Terri, thank god for those precious babies that will always serve as a reminder of how beautiful your sister truly was. Not many Roby's left here in Muscatine, those who are gone are in heaven with her...Wendy Roby-Conway"
