GABRIEL NOVAK MUSCATINE, Iowa - Gabriel James Novak, 4 month old son of Daniel and Hayley Novak, died in his sleep at home on Wednesday, May 19, 2010. Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 25, 2010, at the Walnut Park Baptist Church. Pastor Dennis Hakes, Pastor Jake Rosekopf and Pastor Gary Novak will officiate the service. Honorary bearers will be Mark Novak and David Novak. Casket bearers will be Caleb Weikert, Tim Weddle, Stephen Novak, Caleb DeFord, Bronz Helmke, Kain Helmke, and Ezra Weikert. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Monday, May 24, 2010, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Gabe was born on January 12, 2010, in Davenport, the son of Daniel and Hayley Weikert Novak. Therefore we are always confident knowing that, while we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord ¦ but to be absent from the body, is to be present with the Lord. II Corinthians 5:6, 8. He will be lovingly remembered and treasured by his parents, Daniel and Hayley Novak of Muscatine; a brother and sister, Jacob and Cambria Novak, both at home; paternal grandparents, Gary and Cindy Klaas Novak; maternal grandparents, Dean and Linda Peterson Weikert; great grandparents, Ilene Weikert, Henrik and Patricia Petersen, Joan Smith, and James Peterson; many loving aunts and uncles, Rebekah and Caleb DeFord, Stephen Novak, Christine Novak, Karen Novak, Mark Novak, David Novak, Caleb and Marlys Weikert, Edith and Bronz Helmke, Nancy Weikert, Lydia and Tim Weddle, Ezra Weikert, Abbie Weikert, Elizabeth Weikert; and two cousins, Ty Weikert and Kamie Helmke. He was preceded in death by an uncle, Nehemiah Weikert.
