PATRICIA WILLIS MUSCATINE, Iowa - Patricia G. Willis, 91, of Muscatine, died Monday, October 18, 2010, at Carrington Place. Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 22, 2010, at the Trinity Episcopal Church, 211 Walnut Street. The Reverend Cathi Bencken will officiate the service. A time of food and fellowship will follow the Memorial Service in the Parish Hall. Burial will take place in Greenwood Cemetery. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials may be made to Trinity Episcopal Church or the Muscatine Humane Society. The Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Patricia was born on February 9, 1919, in Muscatine, the daughter of Randall and Leila Thompson Tipton. She married Vernon H. 'Poke' Willis on March 15, 1952, in Muscatine. He preceded her in death on November 6, 2000. She graduated from the University of Arizona. She and her husband owned and operated V.H. Willis Company which they started in 1949. She was a lifetime member of Trinity Episcopal Church; she was also a member of the Trinity Episcopal Church Women; Chapter JR of P.E.O.; Westend Fortnightly Club; and the Muscatine Heritage Association. Those left to honor her memory include her daughter, Debra Elliott and husband, Keith, of Muscatine; one daughter-in-law, Teresa Willis of Muscatine; six grandchildren, Jessica Richard, Eric Elliott, Nick Elliott, Katie Elliott, Terra Willis, and Treaver Willis; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son, Randall 'Tip' Willis on July 3, 2006; and a brother in infancy.
