Emily Anne Bohnsack MUSCATINE, Iowa - Emily Anne Bohnsack, 16, Wilton, died Sunday, December 5, 2010, in an automobile accident near Durant. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, December 9, 2010, at the St. Mary's Catholic Church, Wilton. The Rev. Robert Busher will officiate. Musical selections will be by organist Bev Reuter and vocalist Jane Osborn. Serving as casket bearers will be Michael Weih, Christopher Weih, Mick Flattery, Kevin Hartwig, Mike DeLong and Bob Menke. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be all of her friends. Burial will take place in Durant Cemetery, Durant. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, December 8, 2010, at the church, with additional visitation one hour prior to the service, church. Memorial donations may be made to the Emily Bohnsack Memorial Fund in her memory. Emily was born on March 6, 1994, to Rob and Suzanne Weih Bohnsack in Davenport. She was a junior at the Durant High School where she was active in choir, basketball, golf and volleyball. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Wilton, where she was active in the youth group. She was a member of Wilton Young Life, Durant Force Volleyball Club, Inland 4-H, Muscatine Saddle Club and Iowa Quarter Horse Youth Association. Above all, she loved spending time with her friends and family. She will be remembered by her family and many friends as a very strong willed girl with a zest for life and liked nothing better than ''being goofy'' with her friends. She was a feisty girl in the best of ways. She showed her horse Buddy (Terms Look Radical) for many years in local, state and regional AQHA shows. She won numerous awards and was considered an excellent horseman. She is survived and lovingly remembered by her parents, Rob and Suzanne Bohnsack of Wilton; her sister, Erin Bohnsack and Mike DeLong of Wilton; her grandparents, Harold (Suz) and Mary Weih of Bennett and Bobby and Jeanne Bohnsack of New Liberty; her aunts and uncles, Sarah Flattery and husband, Mick of Fairfield, Michael Weih and wife, Carena of Wheatland, Christopher Weih and wife, Cortney of Waukee, and Pam Hartwig and husband, Kevin of Bennett; her cousins, Meredith and Mackenzie Flattery, Zachary, Jacob and Andrew Weih and Lynden Weih; and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her aunt, Kim Bohnsack.
