Herlinda 'Linda' Villarreal

Herlinda Linda Villarreal WEST LIBERTY, Iowa - Herlinda Linda Villarreal, 71, died on Friday, March 11, 2011, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, March 14, 2011, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in West Liberty. Burial will take place in Oak Ridge Cemetery, West Liberty. The Henderson Barker Funeral Home in West Liberty is in charge of the arrangements. Linda was born on August 28, 1939, in Mexico, the daughter of Manuel and Betzabe Frausto YaÃ?'±ez. She married Evelio Villarreal in April 1965 in Eagle Pass, Texas. She was loved by all, sharing her love and kindness with her family, grandchildren and those who she met. Linda's family said she was an angel, always caring, helping and cooking for anyone sick or in need. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and was very devoted to her faith. Linda is survived by her husband; her children, Evelio (and Eusebia) Villarreal Jr. of West Liberty, and Silvia (and Abel) Esquivel of Iowa City; grandchildren, Alberto Villarreal, Leonel Villarreal, Brianna Villarreal, Josh Esquivel and Bianca Esquivel; two brothers, Andres YaÃ?'±ez of Kyle, Texas, and Pedro YaÃ?'±ez of Del Rio, Texas; and two sisters, Lidia Gil of San Antonio, Texas, and Elia Velazquez of Del Rio, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Norma; her brothers, Vincenta YaÃ?'±ez, Manuel YaÃ?'±ez and Jesus YaÃ?'±ez; and her sisters, Ofilia Velasquez, Tomasa LaPaz and Alicia Guerrero.
