"Dan, I remember the night you were born. It was a school night, and Grandma Gardner was staying with David, Mary Lou, and me. We were so excited for Dad to call and announce your arrival. It was close to 9 on a school night and we got to stay up past our usual bedtime. I loved you before you were ever born and I love you just as much now, in your death.......I'm so glad that you were able to spend your life doing things that you loved. I loved you before you were ever born......Sue"
