Age 65 of Forest Lake passed away on October 10, 2011.
Her parents, Harry and Mabel Boogren, preceded Lynn in death.
She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years Dean; her sons, Christopher of Lino Lakes and Eric and his wife, Cindy and her granddaughter, Katelyn, of Forest Lake.
Lynn dedicated her adult years advocating for homeless pet animals by serving on the Board of Directors of the Ramsey County Humane Society for over 13 years and volunteering at the shelter. She was also a charter member of the Auxiliary and administered the spay, neuter and emergency care program. In 1985, she completed her education to become a certified veterinary technician and was employed at Hudson Road Animal Hospital. After moving to Forest Lake in 1997, she became a volunteer with Northwoods Human Society and eventually co-founded St. Francis of Assisi Animal Rescue. Lynn will be missed by all involved with animal rescue and adoption.
A gathering of family and friends will be held 4-8 pm on Friday, October 14th at Roberts Family Funeral Home, 555 Centennial Drive SW, Forest Lake. A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, October 15th at the funeral home. Memorials preferred to Rescued Tails Animal Sanctuary or the organization of your choice.

"I'm really sad to hear about cousin Lynnie (married to Deanie) not being with us any more. Family vacations at Forest Lake are some of my fondest memories of growing up. Each of my cousins were important to my education and Lynn's role was always to try to get me to toughen up and not to be so timid. She was bold and outgoing and fearless and she had a "can do" attitude. I enjoyed watching her as she took on a new water skiing challenge, put minnows on a fishing line without flinching, planned an adventure to a neighboring cottage in the middle of the night, or stood up to Auntie Minnie. I wish I could be with you in Minnesota today to celebrate Lynn's life. Love, Alice"
"My earliest memory of Lynn was when I pushed her in the buggy as a new born in Milwaukee. In her early childhood there was always a dog. She tossed rice at our wedding in Denver, when she was 5. Many miles have separated us over the years. I am thankful we could keep in touch by phone. More recently, thankful for the brief hospital hellos. We will be with you in spirit this weekend.
