Clifton Alan (Clank) Claxton, 62, died on Friday, May 27, 2022 in Houston, TX. Clif was born on May 24, 1960 in Dallas, TX to the late Tommie Claxton and Dorothy (Lackey) Claxton.

Clif graduated from Berkner High School in Richardson, TX in 1978. He met his wife, Jennifer Ann Brock in 1992 and they wed July 10,1993. In 1996, he received his AS in Information Technology from TSTC in Waco. He found his peace in Llano, TX in 2016, where he lived with his wife. He was a passionate deer hunter and worked on his deer lease year around. He also loved to travel. He and Jennifer took many cruises to the Caribbean and Alaska. A bucket list item was a cruise out of San Juan to the Eastern Caribbean which they did in 2012. He enjoyed times with family and friends, old or new, whether at a festival or on the porch or in the living room. He treasured each visit.

Clif was preceded in death by his parents, his parents-in-law, Archie and Lela Brock and a nephew, Caleb Akers. He is survived by his wife Jennifer of Llano, TX, a brother Roger (Kathryn) Claxton of Celeste, TX, a cousin that was like a brother, Marc (Kay) Peterson of Port O'Connor, TX, sisters-in-law, Janet (Bryan) Wasson of Grapevine, TX and Jane Akers of Allen, TX, nephews and nieces Rex (Cheyenne) Claxton, Rachel Claxton, Rebecca (Blake) Winslow, Josh Wasson, Jeremiah Wasson and Hannah Akers, grand nephews, Randon, Paxton and Bennett and a host of friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Luckenbach Texas Hall, 412 Luckenbach Town Loop, Fredericksburg, TX 78624 on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at 10:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to Llano Animal Rescue or your local animal shelter.
