"Thank you all for leaving your special thoughts and memories of Mike. He was a wonderful person full of life and love. I will never regret one day that I was able to spend with him. I only regret that I did not have enough of them. We are all better people beause of the life lessons Mike taught us. I know he is our special angel that will watch over all of us. I find comfort coming to the web site and reading all these memories. It brings a smile to my face every single day. May God bless each and every one of you. Jan Brodersen"
"Jan, I'm a former classmate of Mike's. Mike was such a nice guy and I'm sure he was a wonderful husband. I'll always remember his great sense of humor. I was shocked to hear of his passing. I'm so sorry for your loss. You are in my hearts and prayers. Deepest sympathy, Kay Cmelik"
"I happened upon this notice and my heart goes out to the family of Michael Brodersen. Though I do not know the family I wanted to convey my sympathy and share with you the thought from the bible that I look to at times such as these. Our heavenly Father Jehovah is a God of love and he hates to see us in pain. This thought is supported at Revelation 21:3,4, where it promises that all those in the memorial tombs will come out. What a time of celebration when we will be crying tears of joy instead of sorrow. I again am sorry for your loss. With sympathy, Jo Edwards"
"Jan, sorry to hear about your loss. I believe you and I went to school together in Dow City back in the 70's. You both are in my prayers..."
"Jan and family, Just wanted to express my deepest sympathy, Mike was a great man, He could always make you laugh, Hang in there. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. "
"Jan, Just found this spot to tell you that every time we get in the boat, we think of the time that you two taught us how to DIAPER!! I was so scared of the fish but Mike said, here, put this lifejacket on this way and jump in!! My Lord, I was so scared!! But the minute everybody was in, I was never scared again. Mike will always be missed. And Jan, You take care and we love you, Peg & Sheldon"
"Jan, You have my deepest sympathy on the loss of Mike. Along with others who have said that there are no words to express our sorrow at this time. We will keep you and the family foremost in our thoughts and prayers. I have Wonderful memories of the years I was able to spend with Mike and yourself. I will never forget the Seasons of Golfing, Hunting, Fishing, Boating, and the Cookouts we were able to have. We were all blessed and touched to have him in our lives and we will miss him much. Thinking and Praying for you during this time. With Love, Gary Bleyenberg "
"I was blessed to have spent the time I did with Mike bowling and golfing. One of my favorite Mike stories is when we played a golf tournament in Lincoln, NE and the last four holes he made putts from 60', 40', 35', and 45'. It was the most amazing thing I had ever witnessed on a golf course and there wasn't a time we got together that we didn't tell that story. Mike would chastise me if I mourn his death instead of celebrating his life, so I will always remember all the times that he made me laugh, the good times that were had, and the way that Mike enjoyed having a good time with anyone he met. Mike, I will miss you horribly, but I will remember you as one of the best friends a person could have and someone that brought a lot of fun to a lot of people. I wish I could hear you say "Yes sirree Bob" one more time to me after a shot on the golf course. God Bless, my friend. "
"Jan and Jane. I am so sad to hear of your loss. You have my sympathy. Know that I am thinking of you and praying for comfort and wisdom as you open a new chapter of your life. So sorry. "

"Jan, seeing all of the support you have, seeing all of the friends and family at the visitation, just goes to show the incrediable character of friendship that both you and Mike have shown others thru the years. I love Romans 8:18: Yet what we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory he will give us later. And later in verse 26: And the Holy Spirit helps us in our distress....the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words. There is so much more good stuff in that chapter. We pray that you are able to get thru the upcoming holidays and find a way to manage thru these days and months without Mike. He couldn't have had a better wife than you Jan!!!! (((hugs))) Dan and Vickie Steenhoek"

"Jan, You know how much you and Mike have meant to us over the years. We will always cherish the time we spent with both of you. While you and Mike lived in the "Palace" and we only lived in the "Villas" at the lake you always made us feel like we had always been a part of Dixieland Estates in Lakeview Iowa.We will always remeber how Mike called everyone he met a friend and he treated everyone of us special and could always make us laugh. We will keep Mike's memory alive and I guess we will have to tell the "Tin Man" joke to any one Mike did not get a chance too. Jan we will be there for you as you move forward in life and we will get together in Mike's memory at the lake and during Husker games. GOD will give you the strength to carry on and you know Mike would want you to be with friends and family as much as possible.
