William ?Bill? Gore, 74, Green Bay, passed away Sunday, June 5, 2005 at a local hospital after a courageous, five-year battle against cancer. He was born May 25, 1931 in Green Bay to the late Glen and Elnore (Ashley) Gore. Bill served in the US Army from 1947 to 1950 during the Korean Conflict. On August 9, 1952, he married Lorraine Blohowiak in Green Bay. After 35 years of employment, Bill retired from Fort Howard Paper in 1991. He was a member of the Key Club and Quarter Century Club at Fort Howard Paper. Bill was a member and Past Commander of Ashwaubenon VFW Post 10244 and a member of Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church. He enjoyed bowling, golfing, fishing, baseball and playing cards. Bill loved his family ? especially spending time with his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Lorraine; four sons and daughters-in-law, Steve and Vicki Gore, Burnsville, MN; Rick and Judy Gore, Green Bay; Jeff and Cheri Gore, Green Bay; Pat and Karen Gore, Madison; one daughter and son-in-law, Sue and Jim Halloran, Stiles; nine grandchildren, Liz, Erin, Tom, Sarah, Chris, Lindsay, Hannah, Jenny and Kelsey Gore; one great grandchild, Kyiah; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Jim and Jane Gore, Harold ?Lee? and Lynn Gore, all of Green Bay; three brothers-in-law, George (Hazel) Blohowiak, Kunesh; Mel (Rosemary) Blohowiak, Oconto; Don (Esther) Blohowiak, Green Bay; sister-in-law, Deloris Blohowiak; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, John, Jerry and Raymond; and two sisters, Alice Buyarski and Lois Wichman. Friends may call from 4 ? 8 PM Wednesday, June 8, 2005 at Lyndahl Funeral Home where a wake service will be at 7:30 PM, followed by a VFW service. Visitation continues at 10 AM Thursday at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church with the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM. Inurnment in Fort Howard Mausoleum.
