Odonn "Swede" Lageson

Odonn ?Swede? Lageson, 81, DePere, died at a local hospital, Sunday, October 16, 2005. Swede was born June 23, 1924 in Albert Lea, Minnesota to the late Milford J. and Louise (Sybilrud) Lageson. He served in the Army Air Corps from 1943 to 1945 in the China, Burma, and India Theater as a radio operator where he was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross, Silver Star, and Bronze Star medals. On November 25, 1948, he married Pauline Johnson in Geneva, Minnesota. Swede worked for Sears for 20 years and after retiring, worked for LeMieux Toyota for several years. He was a member of the Des Peres Lodge #85, Free and Accepted Masons; Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite ? Valley of Green Bay; and charter member of Beja Shrine Temple AAONMS. Swede was a charter member of Ascension Lutheran Church and enjoyed going for drives and traveling.
He is survived by his wife, Pauline; two daughters, Marsha L. (Mark K.) Nelson, Laura K. (Thomas W.) Erdmann, all of Green Bay; five grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Betty (Bruce) Corey, Scottsdale, Arizona.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may call from 12 - 2 PM, Wednesday, October 19, 2005 at Ascension Lutheran Church, 2911 Libal Street, where the funeral service will be at 2 PM with the Rev. Luther Swenson officiating. Online condolences may be expressed at www.lyndahl.com.
