Richard Cuny

Richard L. Cuny, 76, Green Bay, died Tuesday, December 27, 2005, at a local nursing home. He was born September 19, 1929, to the late Ambrose and Berenice (Mac Donald) Cuny in Chicago, Illinois. Richard served his country in the U. S. Marines from 1951 to 1953. On June 9, 1951, he married Florence Huebner in Chicago, Illinois. He was employed by the A. C. Nielsen Co. for 43 years. Richard enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and spending time at Barkhausen Game Preserve. Following his retirement, he traveled throughout the United States and was a volunteer at Bellin Hospital. He also loved spending time with his grandchildren and was an avid Packer fan. Richard was a member of the Moose Lodge and a former member of the Elks Club.
Survivors include his wife, Florence; his children, Barbara and Walter Brzoza, Ashwaubenon; Kathy and Mitch Windorff, Ashwaubenon; Stephen Cuny, Green Bay; John Cuny and Joanne Sewall, De Pere; James and Melissa Cuny, Suamico; and Patricia (Trish) Cuny, Green Bay; ten grandchildren, Kristina and Kimberly Brzoza; Nicholas and Laura Rebman; Ryan Windorff; Jennifer (Josh) Derouin; Benjamin Cuny; Samuel and William Cuny; and Anthony Roskams; one great-granddaughter, Randi Marie Roskams; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald and Gerald and one sister, Rosemary Keegan.
Friends may call tentatively from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. Thursday, December 29, at Lyndahl Funeral Home. A wake service will be held at 7:00 P.M. Visitation will continue after 10:00 A.M. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1224 12th Avenue, where the Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 A.M. Burial will be at Nicolet Memorial Gardens.
