Mayme A. Piontek, 92, Green Bay, died Monday April 16, 2007, at a local hospital. She was born November 16, 1914, to the late Frank and Mary (Blahnik) Granchalek in Pilsen, Wisconsin. On May 21, 1938, she married Theodore Piontek in Montpelier; he preceded her in death April 14, 1965. Mayme was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Green Bay for over 50 years. She enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, cooking and spending time with her family. She was a seasonal employee of the Larsen Canning Co. for 30 years.
Survivors include her children, Kathy Janus, Jack (Shirley) Piontek, Fran Piontek, Ken (Sherry) Piontek and Pat (Roger) Kieltyka; 16 grandchildren, Mark (Lynn) Janus, Chris (Dan) Powers, Renee (Tim) Greene, Jeff Janus, Jim Janus, Greg (Jenny) Janus, Mike (Yvonne) Piontek, Beth (Mike) Fabry, Andy Piontek, Scott (Connie) Piontek, Holly (Kurt) Seidl, Philip Piontek, Resa Piontek, Shelly (Jeff) Baumann, Lisa (Kirk) Otradovec and Nicole Kieltyka; 18 great-grandchildren, Melanie, Lori and Brian Janus, Danielle and Ryan Powers, Steve and Adam Greene, Jacob and Mitchell Janus, Kaitlynn and Haley Piontek, Sarah and Sammy Fabry, Jacob Piontek, William and Felicia Piontek, Aubrey Seidl and Alexus Otradovec; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Theodore Jr. and Michael, one sister, Rose Marcelle and one son-in-law, Dick Janus.
Friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 18, at Lyndahl Funeral Home where a parish wake service will take place at 7:00 P.M. Visitation will continue after 10:00 A.M. Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1224 ? 12th Avenue, where the Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 A.M. Burial will be in Fort Howard Memorial Park.
