Jeanne King

Jeanne Mary King, 78, Green Bay, passed away Wed. evening, May 14, 2008 at a local hospital after a three-month battle with kidney disease. Jeanne was born in 1929, the oldest of six children born to Alexander and Frances Seitz of Racine, WI. Jeanne received nurses training at St. Mary's Hospital in Milwaukee, WI and was pinned in 1950. She retired after 27 years at St. Mary's Hospital in Green Bay and was the PM Head Nurse in Pediatrics. Her love of gardening kept her busy in the summer months with a variety of flowers, especially delphiniums, daisies, and dahlias. Jeanne loved to read, do crossword puzzles and crochet, especially hand towel sets, which she gave as gifts every Christmas. Her love and concern for family and friends will be missed dearly.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Robert H. King Sr., and seven children and their families: Robert H. King Jr. and wife, Bonnie of Little Suamico, WI, sons Thomas and Matthew, daughter Samantha; Michael E. King and wife, Joann of Irmo, SC, son Seth and his wife, Noelle, daughter Ellisha; Steven J. King and wife, LeeAnn of Green Bay, WI, sons Tayler and Trever; Peter D. King and wife, Susan, of Bellevue, WI, son Christopher and wife, Sarah, and son Brent; Mary Ann Wisniewski and husband, Randy of De Pere, WI, daughter Nicole Vollman and husband, George, their children: Zachary, Emma, and William, son Ryan and wife, Charlene, their children: Evan, Bradley, and Katelyn, and daughter, Heather; Susan J. King of Green Bay, WI and son Logan; Joseph A. King and wife, Jill of Green Bay, WI, daughters Angie and Alexis; Jessica and Tony Berlin children of the late Jeanne Berlin of Green Leaf, ID. She is also survived by her siblings David and wife, Helen Seitz of Bonaire, GA; Robert and wife, Jackie Seitz of Kansasville, WI; Thomas and wife, Elaine Seitz of Brookfield, WI; Mary Smith of Racine, WI; Ann King and husband, Shelby of Racine, WI; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, Jeanne was preceded in death by her daughters Joan Frances King and Jeanne Mary King Berlin.
Friends may call after 3:00 p.m. Sat., May 17, 2008, at Lyndahl Funeral Home, where funeral services will take place at 7:00 p.m. Entombment in Allouez Chapel Mausoleum.
In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, a memorial fund has been established.
