Shari A. (Mayer) Anderson, 40, beloved wife of Robert R. Anderson, Jr. (Bobby) and loving mother of Brooke, 14, and Nicholas, 10, passed away Thursday, February 26, 2009 following a courageous three-year battle with cancer. ;

Born October 15, 1968, in Green Bay, Wisconsin to Ann (Sobiesczyk) Mayer and the late Raymond Mayer. Shari graduated from Bay Port High School and the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. While attending college she worked at Toys R-Us. She then joined AMS Insurance Company in Howard, now called United Healthcare Insurance, where she spent more than ten years until her illness prevented her from continuing employment.;

Shari and Bobby were married June 26, 1993 at St. John�s Lutheran Church in Morgan, Wisconsin. Bobby, Brooke and Nicholas were the light of Shari�s life and she was a devoted wife and mother. Spending time with her family was what she enjoyed most in life. Throughout Shari�s courageous battle with cancer, Bobby was a wonderful caretaker and he was always by her side. Shari�s smile and good nature lit up any room she entered. She will be sadly missed as she made friends wherever she was.;

Besides her immediate family and mother, survivors include two brothers, Daniel Mayer and Thomas Mayer; and one sister and niece, Kathi Mayer and her daughter Alexis Rudnick (her godchild). ;

She is also survived by loving in-laws, Robert and Jenny Anderson, Little Suamico; a brother and sister-in-law Ryan and Melissa Leja and two nieces Lylia and Addyson (her godchild), also Little Suamico; and Bobby�s grandparents Genevieve Bonk, Abrams; and Arnold and Viola Anderson, Oconto Falls. ;

She was preceded in death by her father; grandparents Rose and Martin Sobiesczyk Bonduel, and Hilda and Albert Mayer, Suamico. ;

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, March 1, at Lyndahl Funeral Home, where a parish wake service will take place at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will continue after 11 a.m. Monday at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church, 2270 South Oneida Street where the Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 12 noon with the Rev. John J. Becker presiding. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery in Little Suamico. Online condolences may be expressed at www.lyndahl.com.;

The family would like to thank Dr. Mark Jenson for his devoted care to Shari. Also, the family wishes to thank the Cancer Treatment Centers of America and all of the wonderful people from Unity Hospice; also, everyone who was part of her Cancer Treatment Centers of America CarePages services. The kind words and prayers people sent were always appreciated. Shari�s positive attitude was an inspiration to all who read her letters to CarePages.;
