Lawrence J. "Larry" Vannieuwenhoven, 83, Green Bay, died on Sunday, August 15, 2010 at a local nursing home. He was born on September 21, 1926 in Suamico, WI to the late Henry and Rose (Bukoske) Vannieuwenhoven. On Sept. 12, 1959, he married the love of his life, Carol Jean Andrews; she preceded him in death in 1996.
Survivors include his children: Sandra Ellison, Dale (Mary) Vannieuwenhoven, Susan (Michael) Joncas, and Jewlie (Tom) Shaw; grandchildren: Greg and Steven Ellison, Kassie and Krysa Vannieuwenhoven, Joshua Joncas, and Mikhayla Shaw; two sisters: Genevieve Andrews and Marion (Merlin) Krautkramer, both of Green Bay; one brother: Eugene (Mary) Vannieuwenhoven of Florida; many nieces and nephews from both sides of the family and family members in-law.
In addition to his parents and wife, Larry was preceded in death by his sister, Louise, and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call after 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 19, 2010 at the chapel of the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum (2770 Bay Settlement Rd.) until time of funeral services at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Timothy Brandt officiating. Interment will take place in Nicolet Memorial Gardens.
