In loving memory of

James Frisque
October 18, 2011

Our Dad, our Grandfather and Great-Grandfather, James Francis Frisque, 75, Green Bay, passed away with his family at his side on Monday, October 4th, 2010, after suffering a series of strokes. He was born in Luxemburg, WI., the son of the late Michael and Catherine Frisque.
Jim served honorably in the U.S. Army. He retired from Fort Howard with over 33 years of employment and was a member of the Quarter Century Club.
Jim had an appetite for life that a bout with cancer could not stop. Until Memorial Day this outdoorsman could be found biking for miles, climbing up a tree stand in deer season, bass fishing with his son, cultivating fresh vegetables, baking the best carrot cake and sharing it with his family.
Jims sense of humor mirrored his big heart, which he also shared freely, especially with his grandchildren, who flocked to him. He had the rare gift of not only giving good counsel, but also heeding others advice. Jim only had kind words to say, always was first in line whenever someone needed help, managed to somehow fit the biggest Christmas tree on the planet into his living room, and did we mention the carrot cake?
We will miss Jim not because he has gone to a better place, but because he reminds us how to appreciate what we have, our family, our lives and time together.
Jim is survived by his four children and their families.
Son: Scott (Jill) Frisque, Howard, children: Shannon (Ryan) Gerzcak (daughter and James first Great-Grand Daughter Ashtyn), Brook (stationed in Italy) and Paige (special friend Billy), Ben & Brittnay Taylor.
Daughters: Stephanie Frisque (John Kowal) Illinois, Sharlene (Daniel) Otto, Ashwaubenon, children: Alexis and Jackson, and Shawna (Kevin) DuBois, Greenleaf, son: Noah.
Jim is further survived by his brothers Roman & John, and sister Dorothy (Marvin) Bertrand, along with many nieces and nephews.
James was preceded in Death by his parents, his sister Maggie (Hank) Dunning, and sister-in-laws Rosie and Sis.
We would like to thank Heartland Home Hospice along with Sandie, Jen, and Jessica for their compassion and guidance over the past months.
Join us in celebrating the life of Jim from 4 to 7 pm Wednesday, October 6 at Lyndahl Funeral Home where a parish wake service will be held at 6:30 pm. Visitation will continue after 10 am Thursday at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church, 2270 South Oneida Street, where the Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11 am with the Rev. John J. "As another year comes and goes I still miss you Dad! You are forever in my heart and never far from my thoughts. We make carrot cake and fondly remember you and hope you can eat as many sweets as you want in Heaven. Us kids are drifting apart, and that is sad...as we are all we have left. You have a 2 new great grand children, Landyn and Raevyn. Hopefully you are smiling down on them from Heaven. Your legacy will continue, forever in our hearts and in our blood. Love and miss you during this Holiday season! Your daughter, Shawna "

"What I miss the most about my Dad is his smile and goofy way he acted. He always took the road less traveled and he played with my son Noah, like a little boy. I will forever miss his love and his presence in our lives, even though he will always be in our hearts."
