Raymond G. Neuman, Sr., 76, Oneida, died Friday, April 22, 2011, at a local hospital.
He was born on Feb. 18, 1935, in Sun Prairie, WI, to the late Joseph and Veronica (Henekin) Neuman. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. On Feb. 4, 1955, he married the former Marilyn Cundiff. Raymond was a truck driver and retired from Red Owl. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Oneida.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Marilyn; two sons and one daughter-in-law: Raymond, Jr., and Carol Neuman, Green Bay, and Ronald Neuman and his special friend, Stana Doxtator, Shawano; four grandchildren: Sally (Scott) Sheroski, Aimee (Jose) Erebi, Josiah Neuman (special friend, Summer Duggan) and Emily Neuman; four brothers and one sister-in-law: Alvin Neuman, Manitowoc, Robert and Carol Neuman, Manitowoc, Lester Neuman, Wisconsin Rapids; and Mark Neuman, Milwaukee; two sisters and one brother-in-law: Delores and Terry Rank, Manitowoc; and Joan Ploeckelman, Milwaukee; brother-in-law: Lloyd (Dayle) Cundiff, Council Bluffs, Iowa; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, Raymond was preceded in death by three brothers: Verlin (Audrey), Francis (Helen), and Donald Neuman; and two sisters: Murtle (Elmer) Ohm and Beverly Neuman.
Visitation will take place from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 26, 2011, at Lyndahl Funeral Home. Visitation will continue after 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, where funeral services will take place at 11:00 a.m. officiated by Deacon Everett Doxtator officiating. Military honors to follow.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
