Brian Michael Linzmeier, 40, Green Bay, was peacefully called to Heaven surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, April 26, 2011. He is the beloved son of Carol (Clayton) Cherney and the late Bud Linzmeier. He was born on April 24, 1971 in Green Bay and graduated from Ashwaubenon High School in 1989.
Brian was an outdoor enthusiast who passionately pursued his favorite hobbies hunting and fishing. Fall was Brian’s favorite time of year as he enjoyed weekends spent up-north at the â€?..."Cabin†bow hunting with his good friends Mike, Derek and his son Steve. Spring time would find Brian on the Fox River and Green Bay perusing his favorite spring time Hobby-walleye fishing. Brian looked forward to the annual Fox River Walleye Classic fishing tournament where he enjoyed the friendly competition, annual bragging rights and time spent with friends Mike, Derek and his brother Brad that this event brought. Brian was outgoing, with an electric personality and an unforgettable smile. He loved to sing and enjoyed social outings with his friends and family and a good Saturday morning garage sale with Liz. He touched the lives and hearts of all he met and courageously earned the title â€?..."Our Miracle Manâ€Â
Surviving are his daughter, Kaila Linzmeier; his son, Steven Linzmeier; his fiancée, Liz Rucinski; his mother, Carol (Clayton) Cherney; a grandson, Benjamin Kotecki; a brother, Bradley (Lori) Linzmeier, a step-brother, Ron Cherney; two sisters, Gina and Amber Cherney; step-sisters, Zina (Don) Maki, Tina Cherney; half-sisters, Linda Blarjeski, Kay Carlyle; a half-brother, Scott Linzmeier; Jennifer, the mother of Kaila and Steven; three step-children, April Loberger, Ashley Vanderheyden, Dennis Rucinski; three step-grandchildren, MacKenzie, Caden, Jonathan Loberger; uncles, Jim (Arlene) Clark, Roger (Shirley) Cherney; an aunt, Betty (Bill) Kretsch; five nieces, Brianna, Brooke, Jasmine, Hanna, Jessica; four nephews, Nathan, Vincent, Justin, Chev; many cousins, other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death were his father; grandparents, Andrew and Helen Clark, Vincent and Irene Cherney and an uncle, Jeff Clark.
Visitation will be on Sunday, May 1, 2011 at Lyndahl Funeral Home from 4-8 pm. Visitation will continue on Monday, May 2, 2011 at First United Methodist Church, 501 Howe Street, from 9:30 am until the funeral service at 10:30 am with Reverend Dave Wilkinson officiating.
A memorial fund has been established in Brian's name.
