James Beauvais

James M. Beauvais, 53, Green Bay, passed away unexpectedly, Thursday, June 2, 2011 at his home. He was born on May 8, 1958 in Chicago, Illinois to Gerald and Audrey (Thiel) Beauvais. Jim graduated from St. Viator High School, Arlington Heights, Illinois and from St. Norbert College, De Pere, Wisconsin.
Jim owned and operated Rozzi’s Italian Deli in the Village of Howard. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Jim was involved in the Optimist Club Thursday Breakfast Club of Green Bay, serving as president. He was a long time board member of the Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary.
Jim is survived by his children Melanie and Matthew Beauvais; mother, Audrey Beauvais, Arlington Heights, Illinois; brothers and sisters, Dr. John (Kathe) Beauvais, Elizabeth Beauvais, David (Cheryl) Beauvais, Lisa (Tony) Coleman and many nieces and nephews.
Jim was preceded in death by his father, Gerald Beauvais, Arlington Heights, Illinois and his grandparents.
Visitation will take place Sunday, June 5, 2011 at Lyndahl Funeral Home from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and will continue Monday, June 6, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church, 2270 South Oneida St., until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Callistus Elue presiding. Burial will take place at the Allouez Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established for Jim’s childrens’ education, Masses or any other memorials can be given to the American Diabetes Association.
