Gladys Elaine Lyng, age 76 of Wyoming, passed away November 1, 2011. She was born on August 17, 1935, the daughter of Knute and Fredrikka (Solhjem) Simle.
Gladys is preceded in death by her husband, Donald M. Lyng; parents, Knute and Rikka Simle; grandchildren, Jeremy Scott Porter, Tammy Jo Buhl and Jeffrey Rodrique; and eight brothers and sisters, Clarence, Arthur, Allen, Adeline, Lloyd, Doris, Florence and Clifford.
She will be fondly remembered by her four children, David (Evie Rodrique) Buhl, Roberta (Marlyn) Duerkop, Robin (Daniel) Andrus, and Rochelle Miller (Michael Baker); grandchildren, Jessica Rodrique, Crystal Buhl, Dana (Josh) Eckton, Heidi Peltier, Erin (John) Belland, Alex "AJ" Peltier, Diane Duerkop, Laura Duerkop, Jessi (Jeremiah) Robin, Daniel Andrus, Casey Andrus, John (Jon'el) Miller and Stephen Miller; great grandchildren, Alyssa, Annika, Jacob, Zara, Thomas, Brody, Dylan, Chloe, Sadi, and Scarlette; sister, Helen Reynolds; brother, Gordon Simle; and other relatives and friends.
A private family ceremony was held to celebrate Gladys' life. Gladys can be remembered for the countless hours she volunteered to help others in need. She treasured her time as a volunteer at the Community Helping Hand.
In Gladys's honor, memorial gifts are preferred to Community Helping Hand, 408 15th Street SW, Forest Lake, Minnesota.

"Gladys was a great friend...I hadn't heard from her for awhile and tried to call her today when I found phone was no longer in service I checked this site and so sorry to say I found my Gladys. I worked with Gladys in Tucson, Az...she was a wonderful person to work with and to be around. I am so sorry for her family in losing such a loving person and my thoughts are with you all. "Gladys was a very caring lady I met her when I was about 16 when I went out with her son Tony. She welcomed me in to her family. Gladys and Bob took care of our children Tammy and Jeffrey when ever we asked them. God Bless Gladys and her family."
