Paul Charles Paquette, 90, son of Arthur and Alice Paquette, was born in Worcester, Massachusetts, on October 17, 1919, and passed into eternity June 2, 2010, in Hollywood, Florida. He has joyfully joined his beloved wife, Virginia, who he was married to for 60 years. Virginia was the love of his life.
Paul Paquette served both in the Army and Navy from 1937 – 1946. He is a decorated hero and World War II Veteran, receiving the Purple Heart, Distinguished Fly Cross, and 3 Air Medals.
After serving in the military, Paul Paquette attended Arizona State College, receiving an Associated Degree in Psychology. He also attended the New England school of Accounting and Business Las in Worcester, Massachusetts. He married Virginia Yankas on May 3, 1948. He and Virginia gave birth to one daughter, Katherine on April 11, 1949. They lived in Hollywood, FL for 60 years.
He is survived by his daughter, Katherine Page, and son-in-law, William R. Page, Jr., granddaughters, Paulette Page Flanagan, Natalie Noelle Page, Linda Katherine Page, great-grandson, Nathaniel Michael Flanagan, all of Indianapolis, Indiana, sister-in-law, Patricia Paquette of Massachusetts, and many nieces and nephews.
There will be a Mass at St. Boniface Catholic Church at 10:00AM on Monday, June 7th followed by a burial with Military Honors at Fred Hunter’s Hollywood Memorial Gardens at 6301 Taft Street, Hollywood, Florida.
