"Dear Ewin Family, We are so sorry to learn that you have lost your precious mother. We remember her fondly from our days at Episcopal High School of Jacksonville--and then, of course, we added a mutual New Orleans connection, since we moved on to Metairie Park Country Day School for 13 years. Please know that you will remain in our thoughts and prayers as you both celebrate your mom's life and mourn her loss."
Jonathan H. Wood Jr. wrote on May 28, 2010:
"Growing up just down the street from Mrs. Ewin, I remember her as a person quick to laugh, and a wonderful smile. She was always sweet and kind to me.
The last time I saw her in Jacksonville her health was turning poor, but not her heart, she was still full of love and her kindness and smile was still there of me. That's what I will alway remember about her.
With love, Jonathan Wood"
Susan Wood wrote on May 27, 2010:
"to all the Ewin family, I am really saddened at the passing of your mother. She was a generous and warm-hearted person who welcomed us all (the Wood family and so many others) into her home and treated us as family. I have so many fond memories of her in Jacksonville, and will always miss her. I was so glad to see her last year for a short while in Ft. Lauderdale, it brought back so many memories of my family and yours, and for a few minutes she remembered all those times with me. A lovely lady. much love and sympathy to you all, Susan"
