In loving memory of

Chad Michael Viesselmann
March 31, 1986 - November 18, 2011

Chad Viesselmann, age 25, went to his eternal home on Friday, November 18, 2011 at Aurora Medical Center in Grafton. Chad was born on March 31, 1986 in Milwaukee, the son of Kim and Joanne (nee Burton) Viesselmann. He attended St. Paul Lutheran School and Grafton High School, graduating in 2004. Following high school, Chad studied Construction Management at the University of Wisconsin - Stout and received his BS in 2009. For the past few years, he enjoyed working at Arborscape in Germantown. Chad was a life-long active member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Cedarburg. He also belonged to the Snow Runners Snowmobile Club, and was a member of Cloverleaf 4-H club. He could traverse all of Ozaukee county on his 4-wheeler and had participated in every demo derby at the Ozaukee County Fair since he could drive. Chad felt most at home on the dance floor and could persuade even the most reluctant of partners to join him. We can think of Chad and his infectious smile singing us one of his trademark songs "Ooh-oo child, things are gonna get easier, Ooh-oo child, things'll get brighter." He will be remembered as an incredibly hard-working person who always put others before himself. Chad is survived by his parents Kim and Joanne of Grafton, and his sister Leah Viesselmann of Spring Valley, IL. He is further survived by his grandparents Killian Burton of Belgium and Art and Margie Viesselmann of Grafton, aunts and uncles: Mary Burton of Belgium, Roger (Margaret) Burton of Grafton, Dan (Jenny) Burton of Oostburg, Judy Burton of Milwaukee, Debbie Viesselmann (friend Steve Schultz) of Port Washington and Kathy (Bob) Stuyck of Machesney Park, IL; cousins: Nick, Joe and Jim Burton and Amy (Jack) Gonzalez, other relatives and innumerable friends. He is preceded in death by his grandmother Mildred Burton and Uncle Jerry Burton. Funeral Services will be held at 7PM on Tuesday, November 22 at Trinity Lutheran Church, N60 W6047 Columbia Road in Cedarburg. Chad's family will receive visitors at the church on Tuesday from 3-6:45PM. Chad will be laid to rest at Lakefield Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Ozaukee County Humane Society in honor of Chad's beloved childhood dog Rizzy, or the Ozaukee County 4-H Foundation. The Eernisse Funeral Home of Port Washington is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be left at www.eernissefunerahome.com .

"Chad- I cannot forget all that you have done for me. You were always like a big brother and you were there when I needed you. You and I had a lot of good times and I'm going to miss that. You lived life to the fullest, but I wish just this once I could have been there for you. "

Jan Buchen wrote on Nov 28, 2011:

"I came to know Chad when he interned at CG Schmidt. I was an "older" employee, and he called me "Mom" and I called him "Son". We just hit it off right away, and he was just one of the nicest, kindest young men I knew. I've been gone from CGS for a couple of years, as was he, but I've never forgotten him, nor will I ever forget him. I will always remember his friendly disposition and just that cute, cute smile. He lit up a room. My prayers are with the family. "

Jill Engl wrote on Nov 24, 2011:

"Leah, as an older sister myself, my heart breaks for you. I'm so sorry for your loss, and I can't imagine how you must be feeling. I wanted to tell you that your tribute to Chad on Tuesday was amazing. I was transported to each memory as you told the stories. You're one of the bravest people I've ever known and you did right by your little brother - I want you to know that. Joanne and Kim, the service was a wonderful reflection on Chad. I went through the receiving line and saw all the picture boards, the rose Chad made in metals, the DVD, and of course got a copy of Chad's playlist. I just wanted you all to know your effort was noticed by all of us, and much appreciated too. Chad, you were one of those people who made everyone instantly comfortable. There was no pretense, no weird social rules when it came to being friends with you -- just a genuine, kind, and generous friendship that reflected the kind of person you were. I always felt lucky to be on your dance card, and I still feel lucky that I had the chance to know you and to learn from you about what being a good person and friend truly means. "here is the deepest secret nobody knows (here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud and the sky of the sky of a tree called life;which grows higher than soul can hope or mind can hide) and this is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart "i carry your heart(i carry it in my heart)" - e.e. cummings Peace be with you, Chad. May God carry you home. Down here, we will all hold your heart in our hearts forever."

He is the only one I would say yes to when it came to dancing, this is because of the way he made me feel..he made me feel like I was good at somehting and taught me to not care that other people were watching...he gave me confidence. He allowed me to let my insecurities vanish and made me feel like we were the only ones in a room. What a great soul. You truly will be missed by all. "

I am going to miss that. I keep looking at my phone hoping his name will show up and I can hear his voice again. I would do anything for him to hold me in his arms again. He was the love of my life and I will be forever grateful that I was able to have him in my life. He always talked about our future together and that he wanted to have a family with me and grow old with me and make a lifetime of memories together. He came up with the idea of putting ?CMV 2? in our wedding rings because we would have the same initials. I thought that was so neat and unique. He even had our song picked out that he would want us to dance to at our wedding ?Danny?s song? ? by Kenny Loggins. He convinced me that I shouldn?t want an engagement ring from him. That he would just sand down a silver metal nut from his tool box and that would be my ring. He said he would rather give me a four wheeler than a ring for our engagement because he would say: ?why spend so much money on a ring that is just going to sit on your finger when you can have a four wheeler that you can ride on and have fun with.? So, sure enough through the years he was able to convince me that a four-wheeler would actually be better than a ring! He sure knew how to make me smile and laugh! He has an amazing family and I am truly blest to have met them and to have Chad in my life. He has touched so many lives and will always be loved and remembered. "
