"ethan insired me in many different ways growing up together like that im his little brother no matter what any person or dna test said n that we always got to keep our heads up high n dont let what people say about u bother u witch is whats got me thru life! n what im gonna miss most about him is that whenever i was sad n called him he'd always stop what he was doing n come cheer me up no matter where he was or what he was doing! n my favorite memory with him is when me ethan kevin derrick n alex would always be in the corn field beside the house n play extreme man hunt our tackling version of tag we made up it was bruital but we always still had tons of fun playing it all the time for hours untill candy would make us come in side cuz it was so dark. n ethan was unique n special cuz he had the heart n soul of a angel"

Ethan is survived by his parents, Earl & Candy Farnum; brothers: Dusty, Harley, and Alex Farnum; grandparents: Earl & Naomi Farnum, and Sandra Simerson; great grandparents: Lilian & Bob Stevenson, Pat Simerson Hoffman, and Jack Heseltin; aunt: Christine Farnum; uncle: Merle Farnum; and great aunt Gloria Simerson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

"I was Ethan's teacher at Chariton Middle School in 8th grade. I remember him as a very nice, and inquisitive young man. He would tell stories and make me laugh. Since I left Chariton when brother Alex was in 7th grade, I wasn't able to keep up with his high school years. I was very sorry to hear of his passing. My prayers are with his family and friends at this very sad time."
