AUGUSTA, Georgia--Dennis L. O'Leary, 86, died on Monday, December 19, 2011, at Trinity Hospital, in Augusta, Georgia.
Graveside Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, December 23, 2011, at Westover Memorial Park Cemetery, 2601 Wheeler Road, Augusta, Georgia 30904. The Fr. Mike Ingram will officiate.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, December 22, 2011, at Platt's Funeral Home - West, 337 North Belair Road, Evans, Georgia 30809.
A native of Muscatine, Iowa, Dennis was a life member of the Disabled American Veterans, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and also a member of the US Marine Corp. Association.
Survivors include one brother, Victor Slovack of Grandview, Iowa; one sister, Bette O'Leary Pelton of Muscatine, Iowa; and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Dorothy Molton O'Leary; one brother, Michael J. O'Leary; two sisters, Nancy Moody and Sally Miller; and one nephew, David Miller.
