Blair E. Noelting, 55, passed away December 25, 2011 at his home in rural Aredale, Iowa. He was born February 27, 1956 in Dubuque to Darwin and Phyllis (Zimmerman) Noelting. Blair graduated from Dumont High School in 1974. He was a farmer by trade, but saw each harvest as an opportunity to spend time with his family. Blair was a member of the United Methodist Church. He was an avid outdoorsmen, and enjoyed hunting and taking annual fishing trips to Lake Pippen, Minnesota with his kids. His real passion however, was riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle. He was a member of A.B.A.T.E and the Aredale Fire Department for several years. Blair had a very special place in his heart for Sue Kroeze, her daughters Kiley and Jesi, and her grandsons, Sterling, Ethan and Weston, all of Clarksville. He is survived by his son Jonathan Noelting and Courtney Burkett of Dumont, his son Joel Noelting and Kayla Codner of Aredale, his daughter Rachel Noelting and Toby Morgan of Ames, his son Samuel of Aredale, his parents Darwin and Phyllis Noelting of Dumont, and one sister Donice Raisch of Norwalk. He was preceded into death by his paternal and maternal grandparents. Blair's contagious smile and laughter will be deeply missed by all that have had the pleasure to call him father, son, brother and friend. Burial will be in the Dumont Cemetery

"Noelting Family, Words seem very inadequate at this sudden loss of A Big hearted Teddy Bear. Listened to many stories and was probably involved in some antics back in the day when My Dad owned the Aredale Bar. Blair was always fun loving and a great guy. Blair never met a stranger, and always was very quick witted. He will be missed by many far and wide. "
"I first met Blair at the coop in Dumont in 1989. I liked him from the very first time we met. Madeleine and I used to go to the house and visit and we were always welcome.
