"Grew up in Monroe as Pat Lincoln. I have too many memories to write about. We would go to their house and they came to ours. It was always a great time. Makes my head spin just thinking of all the times we played together. Memories are a precious thing, and Roy and Mary were always one of our favorites. May this time of loss bring back many memories to you also. That is how we honor those who pass.
Love and sympathy to all you kids and your families.

"I have been looking for a Mary Thomasson that worked at Skiff Hospital in 1966 for over a year now. It appears that this may be her.
First let me express my deepest sympathy to Mary's family for their loss. I have been searching for Mary because I was told that she was the person that notified my adoptive parents that I was available for adoption. Evidently she knew them and at the risk of her job (if anyone found out) called them. She wanted to ensure that I went to a good home. I doubt that she ever told anyone.
I was premature and weighed around 3 lbs. I could not be released until I weighed 5 lbs. So I am assuming that I was at Skiff for several weeks prior to my adoption and that she was one of the people that took care of me.
I would have enjoyed visiting with her. Because of Mary, I did go to a good home and she gave my adoptive parents enough information about my biological mother for me to be able to find her, which was something that my adoptive family wholly supported. So I just wanted to tell her Thank You!
If by chance she did share this story with a family member or friend. Please contact me. I would love to hear more about Mary. It states here on the website that my e-mail is included. My phone is 515-334-0834.
Again please accept my deepest sympathy for your loss. It sounds like Mary was a wonderful, loving person.
