Marian Schultz
June 17, 1919 - January 12, 2012

Sun Prairie - Marian (Renk) Schultz, age 92, passed away on January 12, 2012. Marian was born on June 17, 1919 in Sun Prairie, WI, to William F. and Caroline Derr Renk.

Marian attended Sacred Hearts grade school and graduated from Sun Prairie High School in 1937. She married her husband, Merlin Schultz on November 16, 1946 in Dubuque, Iowa.

Marian was a lifelong member of Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Catholic Church in Sun Prairie.

Marian worked for Oscar Mayer Co. for 11 ½ years and Wisconsin Cheeseman part time for over 27 years prior to her retirement. Marian enjoyed traveling all over the United States as well as Merlin's army reunions and meeting his army buddies and their wives. Marian and her husband spent 25 years going to the Rio Grande Valley of Texas for the winter.

She is survived by 3 sons, Terry, Dale (Alice Knable) and Kim all of Madison; a daughter, Laurel (Barry) Kopff of Mazomanie; two grandsons, Scott Schultz of Mesquite, NV and Trent Schultz of Madison; a great granddaughter, Brianna Schultz of DeForest and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Merlin in 2004 and three brothers, Walter, Wilbur and Robert Renk.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Catholic Church, 221 Columbus Street, Sun Prairie WI. Msgr. Duane Moellenberndt presiding. A visitation will also be held at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the time of Mass. Inurnment will conclude at Sun Prairie Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Sacred Hearts Endowment Fund.
