Mary Virginia Morgan
October 30, 1921 - January 14, 2012

Mary Virginia Morgan, 90, of Keokuk, passed away at 2:25 A.M. on Saturday, January 14, 2012 at Keokuk Area Hospital.

She was born on October 30, 1921 in Keokuk, IA, a daughter of William and Bridget Fallon Morgan. She spent her childhood in Keokuk and attended the Catholic schools. As a young lady she worked for Keokuk Steel Casting Co. She then moved to Chicago and worked for Continental Illinois National Bank and Trust Company. She retired from the bank in 1996 and moved back to Keokuk.

Mary Gin was the last surviving member of her family. She is survived by many cousins to include the Bernice McCarty family of Keokuk and the Michael Murphy family from Ogden, Utah. Her friend of 60 years: Lorriane Lindgren of IL and her close friend and caretaker Sue Burgess of Keokuk also survives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters: Ellyn K. Morgan, Vera Roan and Julia Morgan; four brothers: William J., James, Francis and Kenneth Morgan.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, January 19 at All Saints Catholic Church with Rev. Mark Spring officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Keokuk.

Visitation will be after 3:00 P.M. on Wednesday with family meeting with friends from 6 to 8 at DeJong-Greaves Celebration of Life Center located at 1212 Concert St. in Keokuk. There will be a Christian Vigil Service at 7:00 P.M.

Memorials may be made to Keokuk Catholic Schools or All Saints Catholic Church.
