"Ty and I moved to Elizabeth City about the same time. When I'd known him less than a year, he helped me move into a new house--and as anyone who has ever moved knows, that's when you find out who your real friends are. Ty was a great guy and a good friend and I will miss him."

"I worked with Ty at Methode. Although we didn't see each other often after he left, I thought of him often. He always made me feel at home at work even though I was the "new guy." I often miss some of our in depth discussions on the events of the day, he definitely had an opinion!! I know he loved his family very much, and spoke fondly of them on a daily basis. I'm sure he is in heaven right now telling all who will hear that the 1985 Chicago Bears were the greatest football team ever. Godspeed to you Ty, and my deepest sympathy to his family. He will be greatly missed."
