Ronald Dean Pinta, 71, of Hampton, Iowa, passed away Monday,January 16, 2012, at the Muse Norris Inpatient Unit in Mason City, Iowa. He was born September 19, 1940, in Mason City, Iowa, to Harold Herbert & Dorothy Evelyn (Dean) Pinta. Ronald graduated from Plymouth High School in 1959. He served his country in the United States Army. Ronald was united in marriage to Janet Kay Fowler on October 23, 1960, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Hampton and was also a member of the Vietnam Veterans of America. Ronald enjoyed photography,cooking, amateur ham radio, volunteering for American Red Cross, watching old western and war movies and shooting guns. He is survived by his daughter Brenda and husband Ben DeVries of Hampton, son David Pinta of Hampton, grandsons Reid and Sawyer DeVries of Hampton, brothers-in-law Robert Fowler and Gary Faktor, both of Mason City, sisters-in-law Jan Faktor and Susan Chapin, both of Mason City and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Janet Kay, sister-in-law Sandy Fowler and brothers-in-law Kermit Chapin and Edward Fowler.
Burial will take place at the Plymouth Cemetery in Plymouth, Iowa, at a later date.
