Decker, Diane H.
Mrs. Diane H. Decker of Cedarburg, formerly of Port Washington and Green Valley, AZ, passed away Tuesday evening at Horizon Inpatient Hospice in Mequon. She was 74 years old. Diane was born January 10, 1938 in Elgin, IL, the daughter of Andrew and Gwendolyn Anderson Andrews. On February 27, 1960 she was united in marriage with Raymond Decker Jr. at St. John's Lutheran Church in Port Washington. He preceded her in death in 2007. For many years, she worked as a nurse's aide at St. Alphonsus Hospital in Port Washington, and later was a crossing guard in Cedarburg. Diane was a former member of the Lutheran Church of the Risen Savior in Green Valley, AZ, through whom she made and delivered meals to homebound parishioners. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society. In her younger years, she had enjoyed taking walks with her family. Diane is survived by her children: Randall (Jody) of Siren, WI, Joell (Scott Meverden) Decker of Oconto Falls, WI and Wendy (Stuart) Franzen of Saukville. She is further survived by grandchildren Alexian, Arthur, Joshua, Justin and Nicholas, great-grandchild Ranen, siblings: Bob (Marci) Metropulos of Rhinelander, Mike (Claudia) Andrews of Green Valley, AZ and Jill (Karl) Foeger of Cedarburg, sister-in-law Helen (Bill) Sauer of PA, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents Andrew and Gwendolyn Andrews, her husband Raymond Jr., daughter Ann Marie Decker, granddaughter Machaela Decker (Meverden) and in-laws Raymond and Olga Decker. A private memorial service was held. Memorials suggested to Susan G. Komen for the Cure. The Eernisse Funeral Home, Cedarburg assisted the family with arrangements.
