"Going to Grandma's meant lots of kisses and hugs, home cooked food, playing on the tree swings, running back to the apple tree to gather apples for her, washing our hands at the outside water facet where there was always a metal bowl with soap and having to use the outhouse when we were outside playing for the day. Summer days included gardens to be worked on, family games of baseball in the backyard, tractor rides and in the evenings, a weenie roast by a big fire. I will always remember the glass milk bottles sitting by the back door waiting for the milk man, her homemade eggnog she always made me upon request and how she how she called her couch the davenport. She filled her home with love and we all felt it. I was truly blessed to be one of her many grandchildren, knowing no matter what, she always prayed for me and our family. She was everything a Grandmother should be and she will be greatly missed! "
