"To the entire Schlenvogt families,
We give our deepest sympathy to all of you, we know to well what this feels like, but we will meet with them someday again.
Remember the memories of mom who was such a great lady to know, her cooking, down to having her tell you how to take a stain out of your clothes, I will remember staying at the farm and smelling her great breakfast she would make for everyone that was there. Take care, she is resting in peace with Dad and Jo.
Love you

"My wife, Jeanette, and I considered Arlene to be a special person our lives. She extended herself us, in Colorado, to connect us with part of our family heritage. On visits with her either in Pt Washington or in Colorado she always brought a positive attitude. She enjoyed either showing us the areas she grew up and lived in and sharing family history. She visited with us in both Colorado and North Dakota and enjoyed watching both the elk in Colorado and the buffalo in North Dakota where I grew up. Arlene would always marvel at the majesty of the world we live in. We will be unable to attend the funeral but will lift a Jagermeister toast to her.

"To the Schlenvogt Family:
Back in the days when I worked with Linda at Allen-Edmonds, I looked so forward to Thursdays. Why you ask? I had the most fabulous lunches prepared by none other than Arlene. She knew I didn't like peas, so she'd prepare pot pie without peas. Oh! And I never had cream chicken on toast! Delicious!! That woman could cook and bake and make anyone feel welcome. Arlene, enjoy your time with Jo and Earl again! Thanks for the memories and all the cards!
Love,
Tracy"

"To the entire Schlenvogt family. I have so many happy memories of the being at the farm while growing up. Your Mom and Dad were always so nice to me. I'll never forget the one time I was staying for a week, and your Mom had me go collect eggs. Well, in I went with my flip-flops and white "pedal pusher" pants. I took about two steps, and slipped in chicken droppings and landed on my butt. After your Mom stopped laughing, she made me go into the basement and take my pants off before I could come upstairs. Being at the farm was always an adventure for me!
I'm sure your parents are both enjoying heaven!"

"Arlene called Grandma Elsie everyday after Grandpa Louis died. After Grandma Elsie died, Arlene called Mom (Delores) everyday. She was always the one to get the first birthday, anniversary or holiday card to you. One big social heart she was. A hard working farm mom of 6. She really seemed to enjoy those last years at Ellen's home. Mom always wanted to go visit with her when ever possible. Condolenses to the family and especially in such close proximety to the the loss of Joanne. Love from Oregon"

"Our sympathies to the whole family on the loss of Arlene. I still have recipees from her, that she gave me as a shower/wedding present. She loved to call people and I know she called my grandmother on a very regular basis, Elsie Philipps, for many yrs before she died. Also saw many of the cards that she sent to my parents, Myron and Delores Philipps. She will be missed.

"Our condolences to the entire (and that's big) Schlenvogt family. We'll always remember promptly getting an envelope a couple of days before our wedding anniversary, although one year she forgot to include a card, and we still laugh about that to this day. She was a wonderful woman and raised a wonderful family. She will be missed by many people and also by the greeting card industry."
