"Uncle Walter is the person who got me started in sports. He gave me a tennis racket when I was 6 years old when he came back from serving in the military. That gift started me on the path that has led me to where I am today. I will always be grateful for that racket. My condolences to Susie, Tim and Jeff and also to David and Gene. I know you will all miss him. I am sorry that I will not be able to attend the funeral, but my heart will be with all of you. Barbara Jacobs"
