"To Eileen's Husband and Family,
I met Eileen for the first time in February of 2004. As my Rehab Nurse after my heart surgery. Answered all my questions, about why my recovery was so slow and explained to me that since I was a smoker before the surgery it would take longer and also I was to impatient in waiting on mother nature. I am so privilege to have met her and I enjoyed discussing local politics with her so much I did the maintenance program after rehab. Since I have an insurance office on the Square in Clarinda, I put things in my office window to help promote what she was doing, my polite way of saying thank you to her. I quit going to Maintenace rehab in the fall of 2005 and heard somebody else was doing the rehab. I didn't know if she was reassigned or what. I still have my Rehab Graduation picture with her in one of my office cases and it will stay there. I still have trouble not smoking but their have been times when I reach for one and see that picture, I can see her and hear her chewing me out for smoking. Even though only knowing her for a little over a year she will remain in my memory for the rest of my life. God bless and I am Deeply Sorry for your loss."

"I was very sorry to read in the Ottumwa Courier the death of Eileen. Eileen and I were very best friends at one time. Unfortunately, we separated, and I do not really know why. I saw Eileen again once after that, during one of our past class reunions, but was never really able to reinitiate our friendship.
Please accept my deepest condolences and know that my prayers are with you and your family.
