Brandy wrote on Jun 10, 2011:

"Mrs. Dorothy Vawter - I haven't had the pleasure of meeting you. Val had said she shared pictures with you of my youngest son Donovinne. I talked with Val on a weekly basis just to check in and invite her over for a home cooked meal. Val had many friends, many of us you've never met, all of us loved and cared for Val very deeply. There was never a dull moment with Val she was sharp, funny, talented and caring. My heart breaks that I've never met you and unfortunately you never met the many of us who held Val as she cried during the loss of Mr. Vawter and encouraged her during the challenges she faced with depression. I pray you are proud of the amazing daughter and friend you raised. Forever when I think of Ms. Valarie Jean Vawter, my heart will feel lighter, my smile will be bigger and I will be thankful for the many memories we were able to share. Forever in my heart B2 to V2. All my love, You will be missed."

Linda Fine wrote on Jun 8, 2011:

"Dorothy, I am so sorry for your loss. When I think of Val, I go back to our High School days playing softball and participating in track. I enjoyed playing outfield with her and Susan Bair Barlow. Val could always tell a story about our experiences on the field that would make me laugh. I am glad that I was able to unite back with her a couple of years ago. She will be missed but the memories will last my lifetime."

"Our thoughts and prayers go to Dorothy & her family. I will miss our humorous conversations and Val's smirky laugh. We created a lot of "remember when" recollections whenever we got together. Going back to our high school sporting days as well as the trip to Florida with her family, we sure had some good times. Those are memories that I will always have with me and never will forget. I wish we would have got that golf outing in, another memory to have made. "
