Elizabeth "Elsie" Peterson

Elizabeth "Elsie" Peterson, passed away December 22, 2011 at Gardenview Care Center in Shenandoah, Iowa. Elsie was born December 25, 1926 to Alex and Milka Hryciuk in Tisdale, Saskatchewan, Canada. She was one of eight children.
Elsie met and married Don Peterson in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada in 1954. To this union four children were born, Wayne, Debra, Mark and Gary. Gary passed away in infancy. Her lifelong interests included her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, church, American Legion Auxiliary, and many charities.
Elsie was preceded in death by her parents, infant son Gary, two sisters and three brothers.
Elsie is survived by her husband Don Peterson, of Shenandoah; three children, Wayne Peterson of Shenandoah, Mark Peterson and wife Jonell of Sioux City, Iowa and Debra Monet and husband Will of Pueblo West, Colorado; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Anne Petersen of Palm Springs, California, and Rose Watson of Vernon, British Columbia, Canada and many friends.
