Ella Barnes
Barnes, Ella Wallace Ella Wallace Barnes, born October 25, 1916 in New York, died February 3, 2012 in Ventura, California. She was the daughter of Sophia and Leo Wallace and the sister of Bertha and Sol Wallace. She married Robert Barnes in Los Angeles on October 13, 1940. They had three daughters: Sandy Singer (Fred), Bobbi Kroot (Art) and Phyllis Margolis (Paul). They also had six grandchildren: Stefanie Singer, Jeff Singer (Maria), Robin Millsap (Anthony), Josh Kroot, Jennifer Stein and David Margolis (Johanna) as well as four great-grandchildren: Ali Stein, Michelle Caldwell and Brandon and Aaron Kroot. Ella will also be fondly remembered by her loving caregiver, Molly Bucio and her Hospice nurse, Rosemary Libman. Ella's family thanks them for all their kindness and care. Services will be held in the TaNaCH Chapel at Mt. Sinai, 5950 Forest Lawn Drive Los Angeles on Tuesday, February 7 at noon with a shiva meal to follow at K'nesset Israel, 1260 N. Vermont Avenue in Los Angeles. In lieu of flowers, please do an act of kindness in Ella's memory.
