In loving memory of

John "Jack" Huber
April 29, 1931 - February 15, 2012

John "Jack" Huber was born April 29, 1931, in Chicago, Illinois, to John and Mae (Smith) Huber. Jack graduated from Lane Tech High School in Chicago then worked for a short time in Chicago. He then entered the United States Army and served in Germany during the Korean War. Following his discharge, Jack worked at the Arrow Equipment Company as a construction equipment mechanic for 45 years. He was a 60 year veteran of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers. On August 24, 1974, Jack was united in marriage to Dorothy (Kimbrel) Passow in Villa Park, Illinois. In 1993, Jack retired and the couple moved to Renwick in 1994, from Lombard, IL.

Jack enjoyed small town living, enjoyed playing darts; dancing, semi-classical and polka music; roller skating, gardening; bird watching, and building bird houses. Jack was "Mr. Fix-It" and kept his tools in an extra ordinary organized fashion. He also earned the nick-name "Mr. OSHA", as he was very conscientious about safety. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Renwick, and formerly a member of Calvary United Methodist Church in Villa Park, IL.

Jack died on Wednesday, February 15, 2012, at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, at the age of 80.

Survivors include his wife Dorothy of Renwick; children: Vicki (Dale) McCuistion, Kenneth Huber; Bruce Passow, Barbara (Steven) Root; Brian (Dottie) Passow, Beth (Robert) Brown; and Brenda Mailloux (Brad Prothe), 13 grandchildren and three great- grandchildren. Also surviving are brothers-in-law, Donald and Richard Kimbrel; and special family friends: Preston Alvadj, Andrew Maier; Valerie Kircher, and Gary and Connie Rowe.
